- Description: The Dor Brothers (@thedorbrothers), the Berlin-founded AI video studio run by Yonatan Dor, harvest their films: fifty generations for one shot, two survivors, then a film look chosen to cover what the model got wrong. Here is the workflow as Dor has described it, from The Drill to the Logan Paul

Yonatan Dor has told the same story to a university research team, to Deadline, to Creative Bloq and to the New York Times, and it barely changes between tellings. The model is crew. You let it shoot, and you throw away forty-eight of every fifty clips it hands you.

His studio, The Dor Brothers ([@thedorbrothers on YouTube](https://www.youtube.com/@thedorbrothers?ref=thedaringcreatives.com), [the same handle on Instagram](https://www.instagram.com/thedorbrothers/?ref=thedaringcreatives.com) and [on X](https://x.com/thedorbrothers?ref=thedaringcreatives.com)), moved from live-action videography to AI in Berlin in 2022, as one of the first hundred users of Midjourney, Stable Diffusion and Runway. It has since made a Times Square ad for eToro, a Hugo Boss campaign, a Snoop Dogg video, and a fourteen-minute action film starring Logan Paul that three people finished in under a week. In between it built a recognisable look for AI political satire, then dropped it the moment the tools stopped needing the disguise.

That arc is the reason to study them. Most AI studios describe their process in the abstract. Dor gives ratios, names tools by version number, and says out loud which of his choices were taste and which were workarounds for a model that only rendered 720p.

The studio posted *Apex* on 16 February 2026 with one line of copy, "We just made a $200,000,000 AI movie in just one day. Yes, this is 100% AI," and its homepage says the clip cleared twenty million views in forty-eight hours. Nine days later came the Logan Paul film. Long before either, there was *The Drill*, the Trump music video from November 2024 that is still the channel's most-watched upload.

## Fifty generations, two keepers

Dor has described the method the same way for two years, to academics and to trade press, and the numbers barely move.

In 2024 two researchers at Lindenwood University interviewed him for [a paper on the studio's aesthetic](https://digitalcommons.lindenwood.edu/faculty-research-papers/679/?ref=thedaringcreatives.com), and he gave them the ratio: "I generate 50 clips for one image and then I go out to all the 50 and maybe select two of them." The paper calls it harvesting. By July 2025 he was telling the New York Times ([syndicated copy at The Star](https://www.thestar.com.my/tech/tech-news/2025/07/21/how-a-video-studio-embraced-ai-and-stormed-the-internet?ref=thedaringcreatives.com)) that the team "sometimes try hundreds of versions before a video is complete."

The way he frames the job is that the model is crew, and you let crew work.

"AI is like your director of photography," he told [Deadline in December 2025](https://deadline.com/2025/12/the-dor-brothers-interview-hollywood-joe-rogan-snoop-dogg-1236634355/?ref=thedaringcreatives.com). "You don't sit on the DoP's shoulder and mess around with his camera. You wait for him to get the shots, and then you sift through what you got." Deadline's summary of the rest: he refines his prompts with ChatGPT, but the craft is in the edit.

Storyboards mostly go unused. "We don't do strict storyboards or timeline every second," he said in [a Creative Bloq interview](https://www.creativebloq.com/ai/fear-is-the-mind-killer-how-the-dor-brothers-are-redefining-ai-filmmaking?ref=thedaringcreatives.com) the month before. "Sometimes you generate something that's 100 times better than what you wanted." He said the same thing [to Semafor](https://www.semafor.com/article/09/17/2025/mad-men-gpt-ai-creative-studios-are-drawing-investors-and-consumer-eyeballs?ref=thedaringcreatives.com) about agency clients who want everything boarded first: they "have to ruin everything that's good about AI by forcing an older way of making things."

## The film grain is doing a job

The studio's early work has a signature the Lindenwood paper sums up as "a gritty realism, often reminiscent of early CCTV or VHS footage." The paper describes the palette as 16mm, 8mm, black-and-white and retro grain filters "to mask imperfections like pixelation and texture glitches," combined with upscaling.

Dor put it more bluntly to the researchers. "We on purpose select styles that are destroyed in the first place," he said. "Anything you can do to hide the fact that the video AI \[is\] generating at maximum 720p."

That was 2024, when 720p was the ceiling. The 2026 work is clean, colour, and wide, and the studio's own blog describes Seedance 2.0 handling every visual on the Logan Paul film. The degraded look had a technical reason and the reason went away.

Some of the roughness he kept on purpose anyway. Asked by [Digital Camera World in September 2024](https://www.digitalcameraworld.com/features/anyone-whos-complaining-about-ai-now-will-use-it-later-yonatan-from-the-dor-brothers?ref=thedaringcreatives.com) whether extra fingers still turned up in the work, he said: "All the time, yeah. It doesn't make a difference, no one really cares."

## The stack changes every week and he says so

Dor names tools freely, and the list is different in every interview because the list keeps changing.

In September 2024 it was Midjourney, Stable Diffusion and Grok for images, and for motion "all of them, basically: Gen3, Luma Labs, Kling, and there's a new one called MiniMax." He explained the spread as horses for courses: "if I want natural movement, this one is better; if I want cinematic looks, this one is better." By mid-2025 the Times had the pipeline as ChatGPT for prompts, then Runway or Google's Veo 3 for video. Semafor that September listed Veo 3, Kling and Midjourney. Deadline in December had him as a heavy user of Veo 3.1 and Hailuo, and Creative Bloq quoted him calling Hailuo "the best for movement" and the rest "interchangeable."

Then in February 2026 [the studio's own post on the Logan Paul film](https://thedorbrothers.com/blog/dor-brothers-logan-paul-ai-movie?ref=thedaringcreatives.com) credited Seedance 2.0 for all of it.

The kit at the other end has stayed the same. "A medium-level laptop while I'm traveling, that's all," he told Digital Camera World in [a follow-up interview that November](https://www.digitalcameraworld.com/features/is-ai-art-is-at-its-best-as-a-means-of-responding-to-the-news-questions-for-world-famous-ai-producers-the-dor-brothers?ref=thedaringcreatives.com), along with thousands a month in subscriptions and twelve-hour days.

Tools Dor has credited in interviews and on the studio blog, 2024–2026

- ChatGPT to write and refine prompts
- Midjourney, Stable Diffusion and Grok for stills (2024)
- [Runway](https://runwayml.com/?ref=thedaringcreatives.com) Gen-3, Luma, [Kling](https://klingai.com/?ref=thedaringcreatives.com) and MiniMax for motion (2024)
- [Google Veo](https://deepmind.google/models/veo/?ref=thedaringcreatives.com) 3 and 3.1, and [Hailuo](https://hailuoai.video/?ref=thedaringcreatives.com) (2025)
- Seedance 2.0 for every visual on the Logan Paul film (2026)

## Three people, one week, fourteen minutes

The Logan Paul film is the cleanest production record they have published. The studio blog states it plainly: "We built a 14-minute, 100% AI-generated action film in under a week with a team of three." One person handled all the visuals in Seedance 2.0\. A second did sound design, which the studio said in an X post [quoted by Sportskeeda](https://www.sportskeeda.com/pop-culture/news-how-many-people-worked-this-internet-raves-dor-brothers-create-300-000-000-movie-starring-logan-paul-using-100-ai?ref=thedaringcreatives.com) started as mostly AI-generated and was then cleaned up by hand. Logan Paul recorded the voiceover himself, after an AI first pass the studio described as "surprisingly usable."

"Every frame was generated by AI," the post says. "Not a single shot was captured on camera."

The film lives on Logan Paul's channel rather than the studio's. It drew a Joe Rogan clip and a Newsweek write-up in the same week, and a round of "trash" verdicts from commenters that [Mandatory rounded up](https://www.yahoo.com/entertainment/movies/articles/ai-movie-featuring-logan-paul-143245355.html?ref=thedaringcreatives.com).

## Who the Dor Brothers are

Yonatan Dor is Israeli, in his late twenties, and [the studio's site](https://thedorbrothers.com/?ref=thedaringcreatives.com) lists him as co-founder and CEO. The YouTube channel says the company was founded by the Dor brothers in Berlin, and Deadline describes him as Lisbon-based now. The other brother is a running bit. Deadline calls him a "silent partner sibling," Digital Camera World's interviewer suggested the twin who appears at the end of videos is an AI, and Dor answered, "It's a mystery, I can't reveal." The studio's About page settles it with: "We just really like doors."

The paper says they were traditional videographers who moved to AI in 2022\. Dor told Deadline they were among the first hundred users of Midjourney, Stable Diffusion and Runway.

Commercial work is what pays. "There are good commercials and there are bad commercials. We make good commercials. That's what you pay for," he told Creative Bloq.

Semafor reported the studio charges around €200,000 for larger ad spots. The client list on the site includes BOSS, Meta, Microsoft, Yamaha, Ideogram and eToro, whose bull-and-bear ad ran in Times Square, and the music-video page runs from Snoop Dogg and The Game to French Montana.

He testified to the Texas Senate on AI regulation in January 2025, and told Deadline he argued for invisible watermarks. Deadline also reported that the studio's biggest expense is copyright lawyers who keep the videos "clean," and that Dor has turned down five investor approaches because none would guarantee creative freedom.

## The videos that got them here

*The Drill* went up in November 2024 and is still the channel's most-watched upload, past seventeen million views on YouTube as of September 2026\. Facebook banned an earlier one, *The Dope Show*, within minutes of it being posted. The studio's stated position on the politics, from a statement it posted on X, is that "We don't take political stances or aim to spread fake news or fear," and that the satire is there "to raise awareness and provoke thought."

Asked by Deadline whether his work feeds disinformation, Dor said, "I hope it does," and compared his role to a court jester.

Speed is part of the format. Creative Bloq reported the meme videos can turn around within a day of a news event. "One time we did it the day after it happened, people's minds were blown," he said. He also told them he has eight scripts ready and turned down a $3 million offer to make a ninety-minute AI feature: "Come back when the tech is ready."

Every video ends the same way. "When we make an AI video, we always write at the end, 'Directed by The Dor Brothers.'"

## Where to go next

The Seedance 2.0 pipeline the studio used on the Logan Paul film is the same engine behind [four creators we have profiled, through four different apps](https://www.thedaringcreatives.com/creator-stories/four-creators-seedance-four-apps/). For the satire side of the ledger, [demonflyingfox's run of Canadian trade-war music videos](https://www.thedaringcreatives.com/creator-stories/demonflyingfox-balenciaga-remake/) is the other channel working that exact vein with original songs.

The most recent upload on the studio channel is the *REVIVER* trailer from 26 August, credited to a team member named only as Aleksey, and MiniMax presented *Death Lane* at Cannes in April. Dor told Deadline his checklist is a movie that scores eight-plus on IMDb, and that he is developing animated shorts with studios and a project with an Oscar-winning writer he would not name. Until then, the studio's own line for the dream project is an *Idiocracy* sequel.
