The upper section of Mount Vision Park's summit trail has been temporarily closed following three consecutive cycles of heavy rainfall that destabilized the path along the eastern ridge. Park maintenance staff identified significant erosion at two points near the treeline — one section of packed gravel trail has washed out entirely, exposing loose root systems and an unstable slope edge. Visitors are currently restricted to lower trail access only. The main loop and river-view overlook remain open.
The Mount Vision Park maintenance office posted the notice to local AEGIS terminals this morning. No restoration timeline has been confirmed, but staff have indicated an assessment team will survey the upper trail within the next two cycles, weather permitting.
